NYE 2020: 3 New Year’s Eve Outfits

December 27, 2020

Now that Christmas is over, it's time to prepare for ringing in the new year. Although 2020 has been quite a year, and your NYE plans may look very different this year, dressing up (even if it's just to go to your living room) is one thing we can still enjoy. Maybe you still want to take some cute New Year's Eve pictures but aren't sure what to wear. Whatever your occasion may be this year, keep reading for some cute NYE outfit inspiration.

  1. Sparkly Mock Neck Top + Jeans + Booties This outfit is the most casual NYE outfit I've worn. It's perfect if you're not going anywhere too fancy, and you can always swap out the booties for something with less of a heel if you want to dress it down even more. The glitters in the top definitely make me think of NYE, and I love the mock neck neckline because it keeps the shirt from looking too casual. The top is from Kohls and the booties are from Rack Room Shoes.
  2. Sparkly Sweater + Black Pants + Sparkly Heels If you're like me and absolutely love glitter and sparkles, this outfit is for you. The sweater is sure to catch everyone's eye, and will keep you warmer than a regular top in case you live in a colder area. Because the top is so sparkly, I would definitely pair it with more basic bottoms like the black pants shown. My favorite part of this outfit are the heels. They are completely rhinestoned and in addition to the sweater, will also catch everyone's eye. Both the shoes and sweater are from Forever21.
  3. All Black + Fuzzy Jacket Last is an outfit for those who typically don't lean towards super sparkly pieces. I wore this outfit on NYE 2019, and I loved it. I wore a black mock neck top tucked into some black jeans from Papaya along with a metal grommet belt. For my statement piece, I tied it all together with a huge teddy jacket, also from Papaya. The contrast between the sleek all black outfit and the fuzzy jacket is what really pulls this look together. I also paired it with some short, heeled brown booties to match the jacket. Even without any glitter, it still gave me classy NYE vibes.
